Bisbee Science Lab welcomes all volunteers! Many of our programs rely on the help of volunteer like you.

 

We are currently looking for volunteers to assist with many of our programs. If you are interested in working with us, please fill out a volunteer interest form, and we'll be in touch!

Administration

The Bisbee Science Lab is looking for volunteers that are interested in BSERC administrative duties, including seeking/applying for grants, helping organize data, developing an endowment, managing volunteers, writing monthly press releases, assisting with social media, or bookkeeping.

Bisbee Science Lab Programming

The Bisbee Science Lab is looking for volunteers that would like to help supervise children on Fridays, plan and execute educational activities, set up and clean up the lab, and help with Boys & Girls Club visits on Thursdays.

Science Club Programming

The Bisbee Science Lab is looking for volunteers that are interested in helping plan and implement science clubs after school hours or on Fridays. Clubs can be for various age groups, and can cover robotics, virtual reality, 3D printing, wildlife, engineering, or other topics of interest. This station will also look for volunteers to help with "Tinker Tuesday" activities in the summer, which are building/engineering challenges.

Pie & Sky

The Bisbee Science Lab is looking for volunteers that are interested in ordering, picking up, and distributing flyers, facilitating indoor astronomy activities, and supervising children.

Mobile Lab Sky Island STEAM Express

The Bisbee Science Lab is looking for volunteers that are interested in helping bring the mobile lab into new communities, training on-site volunteers prior to site visits, assisting on mobile lab visits, and facilitating data collection regarding mobile lab success.

Field Station Development

The Bisbee Science Lab is looking for volunteers that are interested in researching the use of field stations in informal STEM education, managing the design process, organizing community engagement data, and working with our team as we move through the design process of the backyard of 519 W Melody Lane. 

High School Internship Program

The Bisbee Science Lab is looking for volunteers that are interested in developing an onboarding manual for new high school interns, helping find and facilitate intern training, or are interested in conducting training in first aid, classroom management, public speaking, activity facilitation, and stress management. 

Science Cafés

The Bisbee Science Lab is looking for volunteers that are interested in acting as the science cafe manager, or can help with planning, marketing, and executing cafes. These volunteers can be responsible for sending relevant science cafe information to our marketing person to create a flyer, scheduling the event with the Courtyard, ordering, picking up, and distributing flyers, getting the info to the Bisbee Observer, creating the Eventbrite, and advertising through Facebook and the monthly newsletter.
